LIVERPOOL

According to Fabrizio Romano, Anthony Gordon has decided to join Liverpool FC this summer.

Manchester City and Liverpool have shown significant interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.

Both Premier League giants admire the England international, who has had an impressive season with the Magpies.

Several Newcastle players have caught the attention of top clubs this summer, including Alexander Isak, who has impressed Arsenal, and Bruno Guimaraes, who is being monitored by Manchester City, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Gordon, since his move from Everton, has made remarkable progress at Newcastle.

His outstanding performances have earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England team. Now, less than a year after signing with Newcastle, he is being linked with a move.

In a recent Q&A session with The Athletic, David Ornstein confirmed Manchester City’s interest in Gordon, stating, “Liverpool, like Manchester City and many other clubs, really like Anthony Gordon.”

However, Ornstein added that Liverpool are unlikely to pursue Gordon because Newcastle have no intention of selling him, and even if they were open to it, the transfer fee would be extremely high.

Ornstein is confident that Gordon will stay at Newcastle this summer.

Gordon, who came through the Everton academy, might find a move to Liverpool controversial given his past.

A move to Manchester City could be appealing as it would allow him to play alongside some of the world’s best players and compete for trophies.

At this point in his career, however, Gordon should stay at Newcastle to continue his development.

His growth under Eddie Howe has been impressive, and remaining with the Magpies will allow him to improve further before making a move to a bigger club. Gordon is currently on the right path, showing maturity and improving his game.
